Yeah!!! Finally!!! We were so excited that Christine and Bahaa's wedding had finally come. But, probably not nearly as excited as they were. After months and months and months of waiting and meeting with immigration and more waiting and more meeting...Bahaa finally got his visa and was in America! Elena and I remember so fondly our very first meeting with Christine. She came to our home with her sister and her mother. We all sat and talked for such a long time. We immediately felt like we had known them all forever and had such a great time with them. There were a few times when we thought that immigration issues might keep Christine and Bahaa's wedding from ever taking place. We were thrilled when we heard from Christine and Bahaa was finally here and things were going forward.
On the day of their wedding, the weather was a bit questionable. So, Christine and Bahaa decided to have their ceremony inside at The Terrace Club. Luckily, the weather cooperated long enough for us to take pictures of Bahaa outside. And, after their super cute first look, we were able to spend a few minutes outside with Christine and Bahaa taking pictures. They are such a cute couple. Bahaa is a really, really big guy and has a really big personality, too! He is super funny and always smiling. We loved seeing how happy Christine was with him. He made her laugh and smile all day! They are just so beautiful together!
After Christine and Bahaa's ceremony, we spent a few minutes taking family pictures and then everyone headed upstairs for the reception. What an awesome reception!!! We had so much fun with them. Christine and Bahaa were introduced into the reception and went right into their first dance. They started serious, but that didn't last long. Their dance was fun and cute! Dinner was great and there was lots of baklava to follow. During dinner a belly dancer performed. She was so cool! She started with a cape, then danced with a sword, the candles...it was so neat! Christine and Bahaa's guests didn't even wait for dinner to end before they started dancing. The Arabic music was just too much for them! Many of them joined the belly dancer on the dance floor. The dance floor cleared long enough for a few toasts from family and then it was back to dancing. It was one of the best parties we've been to!
Christine and Bahaa, we love you guys and are so happy that we had the opportunity to spend such a wonderful day with you. We wish you both many, many years of love and happiness!
