Dory and Gregg were maybe the most laid-back, easy-going couple we have ever worked with. They were so comfortable with themselves and with each other. It made taking pictures of them so easy and so much fun! Elena and I felt like we were spending the evening with old friends.
We had time before the ceremony to take pictures of Gregg and his groomsmen and Dory and her bridesmaids. Dory and Gregg did first look pictures and they were so, so beautiful. We had lots of time for pictures of the two of them and that was great because Kindred Oaks has so many neat places to take pictures. They even spent a few minutes sitting in a swing together for some of the cutest bride and groom pictures we have taken in a long time! After pictures Dory went back into the bride's suite to touch up her makeup. She was so cute. She just couldn't stop smiling. She was a little nervous, but she was so happy. It reminded us what a beautiful (and infectious) thing joy is and Elena and I were so happy that we got to be with Dory and Gregg on their special day.
Their ceremony was beautiful. Groomsmen and bridesmaids were life-long friends and children of the bride and groom. The ring bearer was Dory's grandson and the flower girl was Dory's mother. Dory was walked down the aisle by her two sons, both in uniform. Her daugher, Deanna, was one of her bridesmaids. It was just perfect! When they were announced husband and wife, Dory and Gregg danced their way up the aisle! After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed a wonderful dinner and then the dancing started. We were so impressed by Dory and Gregg's dancing! It was fun watching them spin around the dance floor all night. Of course, they weren't the only people dancing the night away. Deanna and her husband impressed us all with their dancing and made Elena and I wish that we had more time to take dance lessons!
Dory and Gregg, we are so thankful that ya'll allowed us to be your photographers for your wedding. We as so happy for you both and wish you many, many years of happiness together!
